bitter magnet

i saw it for the first time in La Verde's today. I was really surprised, since i had never even heard of it (hadn't seen ads or anything..but then again lately i've been watching 5% of the TV i used to watch :) ). Anyway, just from the reading the ingredients, I failed to see what the difference between Coca-Cola Zero and Diet Coke is (they both have aspartame and ace-K). I mean, i get that there's a separate Diet Coke with Splenda (no aspartame = no bitter aftertaste), but i don't get this Coca-Cola Zero. I wonder if it will flop just like Pepsi Blue did in the summer of 2002 (see my previous blog entry about it). Probably not though, since it likely doesn't taste as vile. :)

oh, and on a different note--some good news, i'll be heading off to Japan this Thursday (23rd)! :)

since i wasn't going to be around for Joe's birthday (July 4th), i decided to give him a celebration a bit (well, a month) earlier. my mom helped me bake this really tasty pineapple cake, and i decorated it. here's Joe cutting the first piece! :)
